The Public Information Day for the King's Island Flood Relief Scheme was held yesterday, with a great attendance from local residents, community groups and councillors. The emerging preferred option was being presented, with feedback on the proposals being sought. The discussion points were very informative, and included land take within the Star Rovers pitches, opening up the island to walkers and cyclists, management of antisocial behaviour, retention of views and the overwintering birds on the SAC. All feedback received will be carefully reviewed and will directly input into the further development of the scheme.
A video fly-through was running throughout the day and provided a bird's eye view of the emerging preferred option and can be seen below.
All other documents that were on display on the day can be downloaded here.
