Public Information Day - Thursday 29th August 2019, 4pm - 8pm
A public information day will be held at Small Exhibition Room, Council Headquarters, Merchant’s Quay, Limerick V94 EH90 on Thursday 29th August 2019 from 4pm until 8pm.
The purpose of the information day is to put on display the updated scheme, which is due to be lodged shortly with An Bord Pleanála and provide feedback to public on aspects of the scheme.

Public Information Day - Wednesday 20th December 2017, 11am - 8pm
We invite residents, businesses and interested parties to attend the Public Consultation Workshop for the King’s Island Flood Relief Scheme.
We will have details of the emerging preferred option, which stretches from the north end of Verdant Place, around St. Mary’s Park, along Sir Harry’s Mall and Georges Quay and finishes to the north of Merchant’s Quay, next to the castle. We are seeking your views and opinions on the draft scheme before the next stage of the project, which is preparation of the planning application.
We will be in Limerick City and County Council from 11am until 3pm and in King's Island Community Center between 5pm and 8pm.

King's Island Site Investigation Works
Priority Geotechnical Ltd. (PGL) commenced a site investigation on Tuesday, May 3, 2016. The site investigation will comprise a series of trial holes and boreholes in addition to groundwater monitoring throughout the whole of King's Island.
Results of the site investigation will assist the design team in the identification and detailed design of the preferred flood defence scheme for King's Island.
Site investigation works will be on-going during the month of May.
